Frusser- Food Runner/Busser

TIPPED POSITION... Capt Hirams is looking for a frusser (Food Runner/Busser) to join our fun and fast-paced restaurant; this position requires both food running and bussing tables. Candidate must be able to work in a team environment. This position requires days and nights, weekends, holidays, and shift work. Candidate must be at least 16 years of age.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Obtain service area assignment at the beginning of each shift
• Respond appropriately to guest request
• Communicate guest requests to server
• Communicate with server to assure efficient delivery of food
• Assist server as needed with food delivery, especially with large parties and during peak periods
• Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant
• During dinner, the Busser is to remove any unused and used tableware between courses and provide tableware for next course
• Maintain cleanliness, empty the garbage often change any bags in bars and restaurant as needed, bring them to the back dumpsters
• Make sure that tables & seatings are wiped down, cleared, refreshed and ready for the next guest to sit
• Keep the wait station clear of any used tableware
• Take tableware to dish room and place silverware, dishes, glassware, etc., in appropriate areas for washing
• Between seating and after each guest leaves, promptly clean tabletops, chairs and booths.
• Properly reset tables
• Any tasks deemed necessary or assigned in the future

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit and other activities as requested. The employee must be able to lift/or move up to 50 pounds. Standing for long periods of time. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
