We are hiring an experienced medical assistant to work with a team of their peers to help our physician and patients in a variety of orthopedic conditions and procedures. A successful candidate will have an innate passion for helping others, a strong work ethic and excellent interpersonal skills. The right candidate will be responsible for scheduling patient appointments, taking payments, scheduling surgeries and reviewing files, and will be involved in a number of other tasks depending on the day-to-day needs of the clinic.
Responsibilities include: Administrative duties- answering telephones, taking payments, greeting patients, updating and filing patients' medical records, filling out insurance forms, precertification and authorization of surgeries, handling correspondence, scheduling appointments, scheduling surgeries, arranging for hospital admission and diagnostic imaging, laboratory services and PT and any other duties as required. Experience in healthcare is required.

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
