Under the general supervision of the Information Technology Director (CEA), the Information Technology Associate (IT Associate) will perform various basic duties providing website and web accessibility support to Commission staff. The incumbent will perform duties necessary in providing user support related to accessible documents and website requests.

Department Information
The Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) is conveniently located in the downtown area near many popular restaurants, shops, public transportation, and affordable parking options. The purpose of the CTC is to ensure integrity and high quality in the preparation, conduct and professional growth of the educators who serve California's public schools. Its work shall reflect both statutory mandates that govern the Commission and research on professional practices .
This is a 12 month limited-term position that may be extended up to 18 months or may become permanent.
CTC is moving to a new location in the May Lee State Office Complex (MLSOC) in late Spring of 2024.

  • Experience updating and maintaining content on a public website and SharePoint intranet.
  • Experience in web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
  • Experience in analyzing and reviewing business requirements and developing technical specifications.
  • Understand web accessibility standards and requirements.
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and to prioritize and manage work to meet critical timelines.
  • Excellent communication skills and team player spirit coupled with problem-analysis and problem-solving abilities
  • Work under pressure; quickly learn new concepts.
