Job Summary:
As a Front-End Software Developer at Libsyn, you will focus on developing and enhancing our product's user interface, ensuring a seamless and intuitive experience for our users. You will work closely with the design and back-end teams to implement and optimize features that serve our vast array of podcast creators and listeners. Your work will directly contribute to the growth
and success of podcasters worldwide.
Job Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain user-facing features using Remix and React.
- Leverage TypeScript for safe and scalable front-end development.
- Utilize plain CSS for styling, ensuring consistency and responsiveness across all platforms.
- Implement state management using Remix’s native patterns and Apollo’s Reactive Variables for complex stateful logic.
- Develop and maintain unit and integration tests using Cypress or Playwright to ensure reliability and robustness.
- Work within the Cloudflare Workers environment, leveraging its Node.js-like capabilities for serverless functions.
- Interact with MySQL databases, ensuring efficient data retrieval and storage.
- Utilize Cloudflare KV for caching strategies and Durable Objects for web socket management.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Proficient in React, Remix, TypeScript, and plain CSS.
- Experience with state management techniques, particularly with Remix’s native patterns and Apollo’s Reactive Variables.
- Familiarity with testing frameworks like Cypress or Playwright.
- Knowledge of working in a Cloudflare Workers environment and experience with cloud technologies, specifically Cloudflare’s suite (KV, Durable Objects).
- Strong understanding of MYSQL and experience with database management.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills and a passion for the Podcast Industry.
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of related experience.
