ODA Primary Health Care Network is looking for Front Desk/Call Center representatives, multiple positions available.
Positions on site at 779 East New York Avenue Brooklyn, NY 11203
The Front Desk/Call Center representative assists patients with their appointments, insurance, and other health care services. They also consult with providers on the patient's behalf when needed.
Job Description:
- Proficiency with various Microsoft Windows products and Medical Systems.
- Exceptional human relations, communication and have a friendly disposition at all times.
- Schedule all appointments in the assigned area, according to the schedule of the providers.
- Answer questions regarding the scheduling of appointments and insurance protocols to the best ability and refer quarries to providers and supervisory administrative personnel.
- Relay telephone messages and appropriate charts to providers.
- Consult with providers and supervisor when appointment demands exceed existing schedule.
- Register patients in an efficient and timely manner.
- Follow all fiscal requirements.
- Assist in other areas as directed by supervisor during others’ break times.
- Report to supervisor any problems regarding patients, insurances or appointments.
- Establish an environment fostering patient satisfaction.
- Monitor patient flow and advocate for patients and the center in reducing wait time.
- Serve as a facilitator for patients to receive needed health care services.
Requirements:
- 1-2 years of experience in medical front desk and/or Call Center environment.
- Exceptional verbal, written, and telephone communication skills.
- Aptitude to work in a very busy environment including phones, patients and staff as needed.
- Computer and typing skills/proficiency with emphasis on accuracy of patient demographics information.
- Insurance verification experience is a plus.
- Be punctual and reliable

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $20.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8-hour shift
- 11am - 7pm
- 12pm - 9pm
Experience:
- Front Desk and/or Call Center 1 year (Preferred)
