SUMMARY: Open to no experience but has an interest in healthcare, teamwork experience, and detail oriented with a flexible schedule. Must be professional, reliable and dedicated employee. The medical receptionist will assist the department with coordination of the daily operations of the Front Desk, and other duties to ensure efficient workflow and patient care
· Must be computer savvy, strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
· Excellent patient relation and customer services skills
· Proficiently and efficiently handle all incoming phone calls in a timely and knowledgeable fashion while creating a positive phone call experience for each caller.
· Promote a professional and welcoming atmosphere to enhance quality of service and care offered to patients.
· Verifying insurance coverage
· Collect any necessary payments and process accordingly
· Entering patient demographics into the computer
· Be polite and courteous at all times
· Assess telephone calls, including determining urgency of calls and referring urgent medical queries to physician or other medical staff.
· Maintain clean and organized reception area
· Telephone patients if there is a change in the physician’s schedule and/or if the patient’s appointment needs to be rescheduled, confirm appointment 24 hours prior to schedule
· Updating and maintaining integrity of client information and ensure HIPAA guidelines are followed at all times
· Perform all other duties as assigned by management
· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate with patients, staff and medical providers

Pay: $19.01 - $22.89 per hour
