Our ideal candidates will possess strong multitasking skills, the ability to communicate in a compassionate and competent manner to all hospital visitors, patients, and staff. Must be able to build and maintain positive professional relationships with all hospital staff and patients, as well as demonstrate maturity and professionalism at all times.
Position Summary:
The Receptionist acts as the first line of contact for employees, patients, visitors and guests through greeting (in person and by telephone). Facilitates the work of administrative staff by performing responsible and oftentimes confidential support duties to facilitate the flow of information and accomplishment of the organization’s objectives. Answers main hospital switchboard with professionalism and directs callers to appropriate individual. Receives all visitors and guests to hospital, screens as appropriate, and ensures that all individuals are treated with dignity and respect, while maintaining safety and confidentiality protocols.

Must have weekday (between the hours of 7am and 9pm) and weekend (day) availability
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
Two (2) years experience in health care or social services field preferred. Must possess the skill to deal with irate customers and situations with ease while remaining calm and professional.

Physical Requirements:
Prolonged sitting. Must be able to lift twenty-five (25) pounds. Must be able to hear and speak to answer telephones and receive guests and visitors.
