Front Desk Receptionist

Eye Care of Delaware is seeking a responsible, experienced Front Desk Receptionist to join our busy ophthalmology practice! The perfect candidate will have at least two years of experience working Front Desk in a medical practice, excellent customer service skills, and be able to work independently as well as part of a team.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

· Obtain patient data, including demographics and insurance information, and entering it into practice management software

· Check in/out patients

· Collect copays, deductibles and any balances due at the time of service

· Schedule and triage appointments

· Identify and resolve additional patient requests

· Perform insurance eligibility checks

· Credentialing (insurance/provider) experience is a plus

Required skills:

· Telephone etiquette

· Experience with practice management and EHR software

· Knowledge of medical insurance (eligibility/benefits) and terminology is required

· Knowledge of medical records and chart preparation

Education and experience

· High school or equivalent

· At least two years of experience in a medical office setting is required

· Ophthalmology experience is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
