FRONT OFFICE/PATIENT CARE SPECIALIST
Tree City Eyecare is a growing optometry practice seeking a team member who is ready to be the first face that patients see as they walk in the door. You will set the tone for the entire patient experience, and we strive for excellence in all our patient interactions.
Experience with insurance verification will certainly set you apart as a candidate, as will experience as a medical receptionist; however, we are ready to train the right person. Hours: 30-40/week. Can be negotiated as necessary. Every other Friday off.

Duties:
- Greet patients as they enter the practice
- Answer phone
- Schedule patients
- Keep schedule full and organized with an efficient flow
- Collect vision and medical insurance information and verify eligibility
- Obtain prior authorizations from medical insurances when necessary
- Check patients in and out; collect patient payments at check-out
- Manage patient recall systems
- Order and dispense contact lenses and glasses
- Adjust and repair glasses
- Send invoices and contact patients for past-due payments
- Maintain the appearance of the Front Desk and waiting area
- Manage outgoing and incoming correspondence
- Manage internal documents
- Seek to continually improve systems and procedures
- Additional duties as assigned
As training allows, additional clinical and optical duties can be added as you grow into your position.
Requirements:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Competence with phone and computer systems
- Comfortable in fast-paced office
- Skilled in time-management and multi-tasking
- Accurate data entry and strict attention to detail
- Maintain professional appearance and clean work-space
- Ability to maintain positive and professional attitude at all times
- Curiosity and willingness to continually learn
