Job Description
The Front Desk Clerk answers incoming telephone calls and greets visitors in a friendly, interested, and helpful manner. He or she sets the tone for our company by being an outstanding listener and information source and knows all points-of-contact for the facility to promptly assist customers. He or she will learn the rental side of the business in order to facilitate all rentals, drop offs and pickups.
Essential Job Functions:
- Provides initial customer service to all visitors
- Manages inbound phone inquiries and routes calls accordingly. Multi-line phone system in use.
- Provides computer support and data entry using Microsoft Office and Basis.
- Regular attendance at work and arrives on time.
- Performs other duties as required.
Knowledge-Skills-Abilities:
- Ability to read and effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to work in a stressful environment and get along with the public and co-workers.
- Skill in the operation and maintenance of a number of office machines and equipment including computers, copiers, etc. Basic math skills needed.
- Strong and/or proficient knowledge of computer software to include Microsoft Office.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills.
- Other duties as assigned.
Physical and Environmental Conditions
- This position works inside a climate-controlled environment. AOS will supply adequate training and equipment to perform the functions of the job.
- Involves sitting at a desk for extended periods of time.
- Needs high degree of concentration in a busy area.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Customer service or related experience preferred
- Excellent computer and Microsoft Office skills
- Excellent communication skills; verbal and written
- Valid Texas driver’s license required
Hours
- 8am to 5pm Monday through Friday

- Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience.
