Front Desk Agent

Overview

Harbor View Motel and Cottages is seeking a Front Desk Agent to provide exceptional guest service and ensure the safety and comfort of our guests. Our ideal candidate is energetic, friendly, and flexible with a strong desire to learn and grow in a fun and rewarding environment.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Greet guests as they arrive at the property
• Check guests in and out of the property
• Provide information about properties features, activities, events, and provide directions to rooms using an electronic sign board or guest list
• Answer phones inquiries regarding reservations, billing, or other questions
• Collect payment for rooms booked using credit cards or phone calls
• Return guest requests to the Front Desk using one of three distinct approaches: guided discovery, guided decision making, or guided presentation of options
• Receive and process mail, packages, and packages that are brought to the Front Desk by guests or in response to email requests
• Maintain a clean and organized Front Desk area (stocking shelves, cleaning out trash bins, restocking supplies etc.)
• Other duties as assigned

Experience/Qualifications/Skills

• 1+ year(s) of customer service experience preferred but not required
• Ability to communicate effectively with staff and guests as well as adapt to a constantly changing environment.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. without assistance.

Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal

Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift

Experience:

• Hotel experience: 1 year (Preferred)
