Will work variable hours, normally, 11 a.m.-7 p.m., based on the volume of business, including weekends and holidays.
Accommodates guests of the hotel by greeting, performing guest transactions, answering the telephone, operating necessary front office equipment, etc. to ensure high-quality guest relations.
Qualifications and Education:
H.S. Graduate or equivalent
Excellent communication and guest services skills.
Minimum one year of hotel Front Desk experience.
Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide
Must have a general knowledge of computers
Must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times
Essential Duties:
Greets, registers, and assigns rooms to guests.
Issue room keys to guests
Answers telephone
Answers inquiries pertaining to hotel services, registration of guests, shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions.
Computes bills, collects payments, and makes changes for guests.
Posts charges such as room, food, liquor, etc. to guest folios.
Makes restaurant, transportation, or entertainment reservations for guests
Checks out guests and inquires about their stay
Actively builds awareness of all the services and amenities that Mission Inn has to offer. Makes guests aware of upgrade opportunities when available.
Confers and cooperates with other departments as needed to ensure coordination of activities.
Adheres to all safety procedures and informs management of any unsafe conditions.
