Front Desk Associate

G-Biosciences, a biotech company specializing in proteomics and molecular biology products in St. Louis Metro, is seeking someone to fill the position of Front Desk Associate.

This position involves the bar-code scanning of parts, assembly and packing of products for national and international shipments. This will also involve printing labels and following ISO 9001 written procedures. Typing and computer skills are necessary for scheduling shipments. This also involves customer services and will include handling emails and phone calls with both customers and clients. Basic knowledge of QuickBooks, Excel and Microsoft Doc are a bonus. Following skills are required:

• Handle outgoing shipments by pulling, packing, and shipping finished goods.
• Verify accuracy of orders by matching them with quantities and item # to barcode system
• Report inconsistencies by adhering to ISO procedures
• Prepare labels for manufacturing and for outgoing shipments
• Ensure that items are properly packaged and labeled
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, strong sense of urgency.
• Perform routine inventory tasks, including updating product locations and taking periodic inventories
• Monitor and fulfill order requests from sales using company software
• Proficient with email, Internet, and Microsoft Office products
• Ability to handle (push, lift & pull) items weighing up to 50 pounds and to stand for 6-8 hours per day
• Reports defective materials to the department supervisor.
• Responsible for keeping an adequate supply of shipping materials on hand at all times.
• Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
• Answering Phone Calls
• Misc. Paperwork and Filing
• Other Office Duties and Assigned Tasks as needed

Strong work ethic, attention to detail, organization and willingness to learn are necessary.

Applicants must have 1-2 years of work experience of Front Desk experience.

The position is full-time, on Monday to Friday 8:30-5pm, with full employee benefits (health and dental insurance and 401k opt-in)

Starting pay range varies from $15-20, depending on the candidate's work history.
