We are looking for a friendly and customer service oriented Front Desk Associate for 2pm - 10pm. The Front Desk position is responsible for operating the Front Desk area and other related areas in a positive, friendly and professional manner. This must be done in accordance with exceptional standards for quality, dedication, cleanliness and guest satisfaction; while responding to and resolving customer complaints and concerns and performing the tasks of a Front Desk Sales Representative (FDSR), reservations and guest check-in/out/etc. Bilingual is a plus.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: (as specified but not limited to the following)
Work Objectives
- In a friendly and helpful manner respond to guest inquiries regarding checking in, hotel services, reservations, attractions, directions, etc.
- Process guest registrations, including the computation and collection of payment.
- Complete shift reports and process all financial transactions, including the verification and processing of credit card transactions in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Maintain room status inventory.
- Send and receive telephone calls and facsimiles; sort incoming mail and messages.
- Conduct night audit as assigned.
- Manage breakfast area as necessary (Front Desk responsibility during lower occupancy)
- Solve discrepancies
- Maintain a clean and “fresh looking” lobby area, business center, back office area and other areas on an hourly basis.
- Assist with folding towels and pillowcases (at least 2 or 3 loads per shift – 6-2 shift, 2-10 shift and Night Audit).
