Reports to: Clinic Director
Job Purpose: This position requires the individual to demonstrate skills in bookkeeping, typing, filing, answering phones, maintaining clinic logs and other secretarial duties as required. The individual placed in this position must be able to interact with patients, visitors and staff members. Excellent people skills are mandatory for the position. This position involves working directly with the clinic director daily.
Responsibilities:
a. Adhere to SOAP MAT, LLC’s confidentiality policies and procedures standards of conduct as delineated on the statement of ethics signed during employee orientation.
b. Maintain a cooperative and positive attitude and approach to staff, patients and visitors.
c. Comply with policies regarding attendance and tardiness.
d. Assist the clinic director in preparations for all audits/ surveys.
e. Open the clinic daily for patients.
f. Greet each patient entering the clinic to confirm identity and proper payment activity.
g. Answer incoming calls and provide general information as well as route calls to appropriate staff members.
h. Utilize Tower Systems to check-in patients with their ID numbers.
i. Collect and maintain money in patient accounts in an accurate manner.
j. Record daily payments and reviews patient balances.
k. Process credit card payments for services.
l. Reconcile cash/credit card payments.
m. Prepare daily reports for the clinic director.
n. Follow up on outstanding balances with patients.
o. Prepare and make a daily bank deposit for review by the clinic director and CFO.
p. Maintain an inventory of office supplies and orders supplies as requested
q. Timely completion of monthly summary of clinic revenue.
Qualifications:
a. High school graduate.
b. Have office and/or bookkeeping experience preferably in healthcare.
c. Proficient in computer skills.
d. Able to make independent decisions when needed.
e. Able to relate to high risk patient populations.
f. Negotiate fees with patients in a patient-focused manner.
g. Demonstrate a high level of emotional stability and coping skills.
h. Prefer cashier, collections, and bilingual experience.
i. Demonstrable history of no alcohol or drug/medication misuse for a period of five (5) years before employment.
j. The perspective individual will not display any evidence of alcohol or drug/medication misuse and/or unlawful behavior as an employee of SOAP MAT, LLC.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
