We are looking for a Freight Broker to join our clients team in Vancouver, WA. The primary focus of this role is to generate new over the road business. The ideal candidate will have a desire to help companies secure the fastest and cheapest shipping solutions.

- Generate leads and attracting new prospects and developing a sales pipeline
- Contract negotiation with carriers in a manner that optimizes profit
- Identify and select reputable and safe carriers for freight services
- Providing customers with shipping quotes, updates, and ensure satisfaction
- Collaborating with shippers, carriers, and dispatchers to manage scheduled collections and drop-offs
- Keep accurate records of relevant activities in the Transportation Management System
- Update customers on the status of shipments and assisting with other inquiries
- Maintain current knowledge of market trends in transportation marketplace
- Self-starter with a strong desire to generate new business
- Freight brokerage experience preferred but not required
- Ability to work in office daily
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
