Our headquarters office in Torrance, CA is hiring for a Financial Planning and Analysis Analyst who will assist with the development and maintenance of annual budgets and periodic forecasts. Our ideal candidate will have a demonstrated track record of delivering excellent client service, with exceptional organizational, communication and problem-solving skills. Salary Range: $60,000 - $70,000 plus annual bonus
Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead the forecasting process by harnessing historical data, market trends, and business insights to develop accurate financial forecasts. Collaborate closely with stakeholders to refine assumptions and improve forecast accuracy.
- Conduct detailed variance analysis comparing actual financial performance against forecasts and budgets. Identify key drivers behind variances, assess their implications, and provide actionable recommendations to management for course correction or improvement.
- Leverage BI tools like Tableau to visualize financial data, trends, and performance metrics. Create interactive dashboards and reports that provide meaningful insights to stakeholders, enabling informed decision-making.
- Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models to support forecasting, scenario analysis, and decision-making. Utilize advanced Excel functionalities and financial modeling techniques to enhance the accuracy and robustness of financial projections.
- Generate comprehensive and insightful financial reports, highlighting key findings from variance analysis and forecasting exercises. Communicate findings effectively to management and stakeholders, empowering them to make informed decisions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in forecasting methodologies, variance analysis techniques, and reporting processes. Proactively identify opportunities to streamline workflows, enhance efficiency, and elevate the quality of financial analysis.
- Ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial data used in forecasting and variance analysis. Adhere to established data governance protocols and compliance standards to maintain data integrity and reliability.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in financial planning, forecasting, or variance analysis.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, advanced Excel skills, and experience with BI tools like Tableau.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to dissect complex financial data.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts effectively.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and precision in financial analysis.
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and meet tight deadlines.
