Job description
We are seeking a Full Time Social Worker (Hybrid Remote) to join our team and provide support to individuals and families in need. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing the needs of clients, developing individualized plans, connecting clients with resources, and providing counseling services. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a passion for helping others, and the ability to work with diverse populations.
Responsibilities:
- Provide counseling services to individuals, families, and groups.
- Assess the needs of clients and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Provide crisis intervention and advocacy services.
- Conduct home visits and provide case management services.
- Collaborate with other professionals to coordinate services for clients.
- Keep accurate records of client progress and treatment plans.
- Advocate for clients in court proceedings and other settings.
- Provide referrals to community resources
- Participates in recruitment and selection of resource families; conducts in-service training for resource families, as required; provides on-call emergency support for resource family homes and/or clients.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- A Master's Degree from an accredited or state approved graduate school, as defined in Section 94310 of the Education Code, in social work or social welfare, marriage, family, and child counseling, child psychology, child development, counseling psychology, or social psychology. In addition, at least three semester units or 100 days of field practice or experience in a public or private social service agency setting at the Master's Degree level.
- Have knowledge and ability to use modern office methods and practices, including filing systems, letter and report writing techniques/formats, and standard office equipment operation. Must be proficient in the use of computers, including Email, Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Must be available and accessible to work a flexible schedule as needed, including evenings and weekends.
- Ability to successfully manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Must have a criminal record clearance for DOJ, FBI and child abuse index clearance.
- Valid California drivers; license and a driving record acceptable to the Agency’s insurance carrier.
- Be able to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
- In all cases, candidate must fulfill the general requirements as established in the California Code of Regulations, Title 22, Division 6, Chapter 8.8, and Section 88065.3.
