We are currently accepting applications for the following position:
Position: Foster Care Licensing & Training Manager
Location: Fort Myers, FL
Rate: $55K-$57K Plus Amazing Benefits!
Education: Bachelor's Degree
Minimum Qualifications:
Hold a CWLC (Child Welfare Licensing Counselor), CWCM or CWCPI certification.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college with a major in counseling, social work psychology or related human service field.
Prior experience working with foster families preferred.
Other Requirements:
Valid Driver’s License, appropriate insurance and use of own vehicle. Completed State and local background screenings.
Reports to: State Director
Summary: Responsible for the recruitment, licensure and pre-service training of Foster Care providers to secure appropriate placement for youth in Foster Care.
Duties/Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for working with the Director of Recruitment to place ads for prospective foster parents, screen foster parents and manage potential provider pipeline/tracker.
2. Responsible for assisting State Director in managing all incoming referrals and assisting in the matching process.
3. Build positive, engaging relationships with families that motivate them while assessing areas of strength and areas of need.
4. Build trusting, engaging relationships with youth to be a source of support, an advocate and to help them identify their strengths and needs.
5. Work with youth and families in a culturally responsive and empowering manner.
6. Conduct thorough assessment of the prospective Foster Care providers to ensure all requirements are met and that the home is safe and appropriate for youth in care.
7. Establish, Maintain, and Renew licensure requirements for Foster Care providers
· Compile and distribute application materials for Foster Care provider licenses and license renewals.
· Assemble and maintain Foster Care provider files in accordance with state requirements.
· In conjunction with clinicians, develop and facilitate agenda for quarterly Foster Care provider conferences.
8. Coordinate the review and signing of the Foster Care contract, roles and responsibilities and reimbursement schedule.
9. In conjunction with licensed clinicians, track in-service trainings for foster providers to ensure all training requirements are met.
10. Coordinate and participate in recruitment and retention activities.
11. Maintain compliance with State and agency policies and procedures regarding foster parenting and home requirements.
12. Ensure any allegations of non-compliance, abuse and/or neglect are investigated by the State.
