Job Overview:
Youthnet is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Program & Licensing Compliance Specialist to join our Foster Care Licensing team. This role is crucial for managing legal documentation, ensuring data security, and maintaining compliance with program contracts and licensing requirements. The ideal candidate will work closely with DCYF Contracts personnel, manage audit and compliance activities, and support the ongoing licensing and training of foster homes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Documentation and Compliance: Track and manage all legal documentation necessary for licensing foster homes. Ensure compliance with Washington State Administrative Codes and contract requirements.
- Data Security and Protection: Maintain the highest standards of data security and protection for all documentation and communication.
- Audit and Policy Management: Conduct periodic reviews to ensure audit list items are clear and contrasted with Youthnet files. Update or create policies and procedures to meet contract requirements.
- Pre-Application and Post-Licensure Processes: Handle pre-application activities, including reviewing medical reports and managing mental health report requests. Post-licensure, track training for licensed homes and maintain compliance agreements.
- Investigations and Documentation: Assist in investigations, create compliance agreements as needed, and maintain essential documentation in the foster home file.
- Training and Education: Compile and update training logs, ensuring foster homes meet ongoing education requirements. Develop tailored training plans as needed.
- Communication and Updates: Notify foster parents of DCYF policy updates, manage document requests and updates through ExtendedReach, and ensure the Youthnet website is accurate and up-to-date.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience in compliance, legal documentation management, or a closely related field.
- Familiarity with data security principles and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work directly with contract personnel and navigate audit requirements.
- Bachelors degree
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of the Foster Care system and licensing requirements in Washington State.
- Experience with ExtendedReach or similar data management systems.
- Ability to develop and implement policies and training programs.
