Foster Care Case Manager - Mobile, Alabama

What will I be doing?

As a Foster Care Case Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the placement, care, and support services for children in Foster Care. Your duties will include assessing the needs of both children and foster families, developing and implementing case plans, conducting regular home visits, and collaborating with various stakeholders such as legal professionals, healthcare providers, and educators. You will advocate for the best interests of the children, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment while promoting family reunification or permanent placement.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
• LBSW required
• Previous experience in child welfare, Foster Care, or a related field is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of child development, family dynamics, and trauma-informed care.
• Strong assessment, case management, and crisis intervention skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and best practices in child welfare.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
