Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Coordinator to collect, analyze, and interpret data related to substance abuse prevention efforts and mental health promotion.
The Data Coordinator will work closely with various stakeholders, including Project Director, Project Coordinator, FBCPC staff, and community partners. The coordinator will leverage their expertise in data analytics, statistical analysis, and data visualization to track program outcomes, identify trends, and evaluate the impact of prevention initiatives. Data Coordinator will also manage, coordinate, facilitate, and support all aspects of the prevention programs.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collect, clean, and manage large datasets from diverse sources, ensuring data integrity and quality.
- Collaborate with the project director and community partners to define data requirements, develop data collection instruments, and establish data collection protocols. Additionally, implement community service projects, events, activities and community-based education, information dissemination and evidence-based environmental prevention strategies.
- Develop, implement, and maintain data collection of required paperwork, records and statistical data related to service provisions and reporting systems, ensuring timely and accurate data collection.
- Create clear and compelling data visualizations, reports, and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Implement community-based education, conduct presentations, information dissemination, and evidence-based environmental prevention strategies to prevent and reduce substance abuse among youth and young adults.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in data science, statistics, public health, or a related field.
- Prior experience in data analysis, preferably in a public health or substance abuse prevention setting.
- Familiarity with substance abuse prevention frameworks and evidence-based prevention strategies (e.g., Strategic Prevention Framework, Environmental Prevention Strategies).
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data analysis findings to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
