Forklift Driver/Warehouse Worker

SYL Roofing Supply is an established roofing company with two locations, one in Winter Garden and Tampa, Fl. We are looking for a careful forklift operator to move packages and material around our facilities. You will be operating a forklift with the utmost care to ensure efficiency and safety. Your job could involve driving around warehouses, storage spaces and other facilities.
You must be a responsible individual with great experience in driving industrial vehicles. The goal will be to ensure that material and products will always be at the right place to achieve maximum efficiency.

Responsibilities:
- Maneuvering forklifts safely in busy industrial environments.
- Safely stacking and unstacking large quantities of goods onto shelves or pallets.
- Moving goods from storage areas to loading areas for transport.
- Load and unload trucks.
- Organize designated orders for Pick-up or Delivery.
- Unloading deliveries and safely relocating the goods to their designated storage areas.
- Ensuring that forklift driving areas are free from spills or obstructions.
- Regularly checking forklift equipment for faults or damages.
- Using industrial plastic wraps and wooden pallets to safely stack and package goods for transport.
- Keeping up to date on health and safety requirements and forklift operating procedures.
- Following companies procedures and protocols.
- Maintain warehouse/company premises clean and organize.
- Consolidating partial pallets for incoming goods.

Qualifications:
- Proven experience operating a variety of forklifts, including cherry pickers, order pickers, pallet jacks, and hi-lo machines.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to perform basic equipment repairs and maintenance.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet productivity targets.
- Attention to detail and ability to accurately pick up and delivery orders.
- Good communication skills to collaborate with team members and supervisors
- Physical stamina to lift heavy objects and work on your feet for extended periods

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
