- Second Shift: Monday-Friday (2PM- 10:30PM)
- $18.00 per hour, Shift Differential $0.50
A Forklift Driver/Material Handler is responsible for operating material handling equipment (Stand Up Forklift) to receive, store and distribute material, parts, and supplies, using wireless RF scanning equipment to direct disposition of materials.
Essential Functions

- Safely and efficiently operate material handling equipment (forklift) to maneuver racks, containers, pallets and crates
- Move, locate, relocate, load, unload and stack material in assigned area
- Perform routine daily equipment inspections and escalate issues
- Gather finished orders for movement to outbound shipping area
- Ensure product is labeled and free of damages, overages and shortages
- Accurately complete all related paperwork
- Adhere to quality and customer service standards set forth by the company
- Observe and comply with all safety procedures and guidelines
- Ensure that materials loaded to be transported are properly stacked and secure
- Perform housekeeping tasks such as sweeping and removing scrap, pallets, cardboard, etc.
- Perform all other duties as assigned

Work Environment
This job is performed in a busy warehouse environment with high forklift traffic. Warehouses are subject to seasonal temperatures. Steel-toed shoes, safety glasses and vests are required personal protective equipment (PPE).

The associate may occasionally be required to lift 51 pounds, anything greater than 51 pounds requires assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Required Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating a forklift in a busy warehouse environment. Stand up forklift experience.
- OSHA-endorsed forklift certification or ability to become certified
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
- Prior work experience in a warehouse and/or a Just-in-Time (JIT) environment preferred
- Basic computer skills and experience with a warehouse management system are a plus
- Knowledge of safety practices
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
Full Time. Schedule flexibility for extended or unplanned work hours is required.
