Job Description
SUMMARY
It is the responsibility of the Material Handler to perform the following duties with an emphasis on completing multiple tasks on a daily basis.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Material Handler shall be responsible for, but not limited to, the following tasks;
Responsible for the movement of material in and out of the work cells to support an efficient work flow.
Completes labeling and required paperwork to assure that product meets customer requirements.
Notifies Team Leader of any non-conformity.
Communicate effectively with associates and managers.
Supports 5’s activities & follows 5’s requirements.
Conducts all activities safely as defined in the Employee Safety Manual.
Participate in personnel safety and protection activities consistent with OSHA/IOSHA and all regulatory agency standards and guidelines.
Abides by all rules as defined in the Employee Handbook.
Willing to cross train and work overtime if needed.
Attend in training programs as required.
Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
Support IAF-16949 initiatives.

Must be able to follow work instructions and quality standards to meet customer requirements.
Required to operate a fork lift.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
The candidate must be extremely detail oriented, highly organized and able to multi-task. A high school diploma is preferred but not required.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
Ability to use various tools as required performing their duties.
Knowledge of quality standards.

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger; handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, and talk and hear. The associate is frequently required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The associate must frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment characteristics described here are typical to standard office and manufacturing floor settings with moderate noise levels and high level of activity. The work will mostly be in a plant/manufacturing environment. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
While performing the duties of this job, the associate is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, and fumes. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
