Job Description
ISRI is a leading company in the automotive industry, specializing in the development and production of high-quality mobile interiors. We are currently seeking a reliable and skilled 2nd Shift Forklift Driver to join our team. As a Forklift Driver, you will play a critical role in the safe and efficient movement of materials and products throughout our facility.
Responsibilities- Operate forklifts to load, unload, transport, and stack materials and products.
- Perform pre-operational inspections of forklifts and complete necessary paperwork.
- Move materials to and from storage areas, production lines, and shipping/receiving areas according to schedule and instructions.
- Secure loads properly and ensure safe transportation of materials.
- Follow safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area and forklift equipment.
- Assist with inventory control by accurately recording movement of materials and products.
- Perform routine maintenance on forklifts to ensure proper functionality.
- Report any maintenance or mechanical issues to supervisors immediately.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding safety, quality, and productivity.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to forklift operation.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a fast-paced warehouse or manufacturing environment.
- Ability to safely operate different types of forklifts, such as sit-down, stand-up, or reach trucks.
- Strong knowledge of forklift safety guidelines and procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as work orders, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and depth perception.
- Physical ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects up to 50 pounds.
- Attention to detail and ability to work with accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexible schedule and willingness to work 2nd Shift.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Experience with inventory control systems is a plus.
