The essential job responsibilities of the Foreman 2- Customer Service will reports to Supervisor. Foreman 2-Customer Service will train and oversee employees engage in the installation, maintenance and testing of industrial, commercial, and residential electric/ electronic metering equipment; inspect Electric Metering equipment installations. Coordinate, schedule, and assign the installation, testing, calibrating, and maintenance of residential, commercial/ industrial electric/ electronic meters, meter sockets, pulse relays, mechanical and electronic recorders, and telephone equipment; installation of electronic demand pulse initiators/ recorders, etc.; and investigation of high/ low consumption/ demand of electricity. Make work inspections to ensure an adequate quantity/ quality of work is achieved; provide information and instructions to subordinates/ various parties. Perform load surveys and meter trace-outs. Maintain records on meter installations/ test; schedule routine/ sample meter changes outs/ field tests and customer outages as needed. Enter and retrieve data utilizing computer equipment; and prepare necessary paperwork such as text/ work orders, requisitions, time, and mileage sheets, etc. Keep abreast of changes in MLGW electric service policies and local/ national electric codes. Responsible for the operation of Electric Meter Field Operations; and safe work practices of subordinates. Operate Division vehicle/ radio. Perform other duties as directed.
Qualification Requirements:
To perform the Foreman 2, Customer Service - Electric Meter Shop role, you must:
-High School Diploma or General Education Development. -Must have 2-4 years of journeyman level experience in industrial, commercial, and residential electric/ electronic meter installation, maintenance, and testing. -Must successfully complete assessment Center Exercises, Level II. -Must have an occupationally significant combination of ability to apply principles of electrical theory and power systems; ability to plan and assign duties to subordinate; leadership ability; ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing; ability to maintain harmony in working relationships and among workers: ability to demonstrate efficient technical "know-how"; and initiative and drive. -Must have a valid driver's license from state of residence.
Physical Working Conditions: Works outside majority of time. Subject to hazards of fire, explosion, asphyxiation, falls, electrical shock, exposure to high pressure gas and working around new construction.
