Food Service Worker - Lunch Substitute

SUBSTITUTE FOOD SERVICE WORKER

Summary:
Be able work in either district of Jenison or Hudsonville Public Schools as our department covers both district's Food Service operations.

Substitutes work on an on-call, as needed basis with no guarantee of hours. Substitutes need to be available to work at least 3 of the 5 days in a week, Monday – Friday.

Substitutes are notified between 7:30am - 9:00am if they are needed to work that day.

The pay rate for substitutes is $14.50/hour.

Substitutes work between 2.5 and 4 hours per day.
Shifts fall between 9:30am - 2:00pm. and hours may vary depending on location and shift.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve nutritious and attractive meals.
• Assist with meal production as directed.
• Maintain and apply all safety, sanitation and cleanliness standards and practices in all Food Service areas as required by federal, state, local and district regulations and policies.
• Operate production equipment and dishwashing equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. with or without accommodations
• Cash handling
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor
