The Server contributes to the success of Zen by serving the Guests within the restaurant. The Server’s responsibility is to serve Guests in a friendly, sincere manner and to do “whatever it takes” to insure a vital, vibrant, and powerfully flavored Guest dining experience. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following other duties may be assigned.
- Prepares and delivers food and drinks to guests and meets or exceeds guests expectations
- Greet guests, answers questions, and makes suggestions regarding food, drinks and service.
- Interacts verbally with all guests creating a friendly and upbeat atmosphere
- Package all take out items correctly and efficiently according to Zen's guidelines, double checking that all food is made and packaged properly.
- Committed to speed, quality, an appetite for learning, and always striving to be better
- Takes pride in all aspects of their work, whether running out food, making drinks, running the register, or cleaning the floors.
- Hears and senses guest needs and keeps the manager and fellow colleagues informed on an ongoing basis.
- Give and gets respect always willing to play their part in making the restaurant a warm and welcoming place
- Recognizes how critical cleanliness and safety are to the quality of the product and the health of the business.
- Takes his/her craft seriously and does everything necessary to create memorable experiences that make our guests crave more.
- To carry dirty dishes from dining room to kitchen.
- To wipe table tops and chairs with damp cloth.
- Set-up of all tables immediately after the departure of the guests.
- To continually stock and maintain service areas.
- To maintain full levels of water, soft drinks and coffee at guest's table at all times.
- Daily clean, sweeping and mopping of the restaurant, maintain fresh supplies of paper products in restrooms, and general restaurant maintenance.
- To be responsible for set-up of all tables in your station at the conclusion of the service for the next shift.
- To maintain constant communication with all colleagues
- Help Kitchen team as needed
- Demonstrates thorough knowledge of menu and responds to guest inquiries and concerns in a courteous manner.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
