Food Runners - Smith & Wollensky Wellesley

We are seeking experienced Food Runners to join our team in Wellesley!
Our Food Runners typically have two years of experience at a fine dining restaurant or some casual restaurant server experience. Ideal candidates are personable, have a passion for the art of hospitality, and thrive in a team environment.

The Food Runner is responsible for serving food orders as specified by guests in a friendly and courteous manner.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Always presents self in courteous and professional manner to guests.
• Checks orders for accuracy prior to serving to ensure food items are as guests ordered (sides, extras, etc.).
• Delivers food orders with appropriate garnishments.
• Delivers food orders timely and, where multiple guests involved, at the same time.
• Communicates important information to guests (example: hot plate) and servers (example: guest seeking drink from bar).
• Responds to guests’ requests for condiments or other items.
• Continually clears away dishes and debris from stations.
• Has knowledge of table numbers and the physical layout of the restaurant to ensure prompt and proper service for guests.
• Brings guests’ inquiries regarding food allergies to the Manager’s attention immediately.
• Ensures station is suitable for serving and meets company standards.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma, equivalency degree or related experience preferred
• Must have weekend availability
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Ability to be on your feet for a full shift
• Experience in similar position is preferred, but not required

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
