Serves as a critical piece to elevating the service standards of the restaurant and is well trained on our food menus and floor plans.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- The Food Runner will serve as the liaison between the kitchen and the dining room
- Food Runners will deliver food expedited from the kitchen to the appropriate table numbers and position numbers (when applicable)
- They will be expected to place each plate down thoughtfully and with a detailed description (standardized per dish) at every able visit
- Each visit the FOOD RUNNERmakes to the table will be with purpose; engaging and professional
- Responsible for knowing the menu items and have the ability to answer questions guests may have about the Garces Group products
- Food runners can be relied on to remove soiled plates whenever they have the opportunity
- They are members of the support staff and are tipped out daily
- Must have basic knowledge of customer service
- Must have a friendly demeanor when present in the restaurant
- Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced atmosphere while keeping a professional demeanor
- Ability to stand or walk during an entire 8?10-hour shift
- Must be able to perform other related tasks designated from the management
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Minimum of 6 months of customer service, retail sales, or food service experience preferred
- Demonstrated ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic and outgoing manner
- Must be able to lift plates from table waist level up to 20 lbs., approximately 20 feet sometimes involving stairs
