REPORTS TO:

The Mixer Operator will report to Kitchen Lead.

Essential Functions/Qualifications & Responsibilities:

• Ability to lift and move 50-75 pounds at a time
• Maintain all equipment in clean and safe working conditions, daily checklist for verification
• Ability to weigh or measure ingredients, materials, and products to ensure conformance to requirements
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace
• Collect samples of materials/product for laboratory testing
• Transfer material/products between work areas using moving equipment and hand tools
• Add or mix ingredients for processing, using hand tools or other devices according to specific recipes/formula and guidelines
• Ability to maintain proper speed control of equipment
• Experience with large industrial mixers a plus
• Follow clean and prep procedures, including use of protective equipment and clothing
• Has experience using a pallet jack
• Participate in ongoing training
• Other responsibilities as determined by supervisor

Qualifications:

• High School or equivalent
• Prior experience and knowledge of mixing equipment, measurement tools and transfer of equipment a plus
• Knowledge and experience with a variety of scales and kitchen equipment
• Strong mathematics knowledge and skills
• Understanding and experience with various machinery and tools, ability to use and maintain, possible small repair
• Knowledge of baking skills needed in large volume production
• Must be punctual, reliable, and willing/able to meet attendance requirements
• Able to stand for 4-hour increments at a time
• Work a 40-hour work week, possible OT during peak season
• Execution of repetitive tasks
• Sense of urgency and attention to details
• Ability to cross pollinate job duties with other team members and tasks as needed
• Strong organizational skills, possess problem solving skills, detailed oriented
• Warehouse experience preferred but not required
• Positive attitude and ability to thrive in a team environment
• Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening (prior to employment, and random verification)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
