Food Preparation Worker

Staff Today Inc. is currently seeking a Food Preparation Worker to work at a facility in Bronx , New York. These are registry positions with our company Staff Today Inc.
Pay Rate: $17 / hour
Shift Details:

• 6 full time employees and a 7th employee who will work part-time as their regular schedule and can be used as a full time employee on weeks when other full time employees are not available to work their shift(s).

Scope of Work

• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness within the kitchen, food service area and dining room, including but not limited to any onsite equipment, food storage areas and all refrigerators
• Clean, disinfect and mop dining room area after each service provided
• Wash and rinse dishes, pots, pans and utensils in dishwasher
• Drain and clean dishwasher after each use
• Maintain kitchen in sanitary condition, including floors and walls
• Follow safe, sanitary food handling practices
• Prepare, serve and reheat food for clients
• Portion meals, salads, desserts, beverages, and snacks and distribute to appropriate areas
• Dispose of trash in garbage cans multiple times per day
• Clean and disinfect trash and garbage cans as needed
• Take and record inventory of food items weekly
• Report need for equipment repairs to appropriate staff at the ATC
• Assist in receiving deliveries; must be able to lift 50 pounds of canned goods and other food products that are received at loading dock and store them in appropriate areas
• Monitor and conduct audits to assess proper food service operation (e.g. safe food handling storage, dish washer machine temps, etc.)
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements:
A. Shall inform their employees that they are required to comply with the time and attendance policy (i.e., contact supervisor two (2) hours prior to start of shift for call-outs, limit unscheduled absences for unexpected serious personal and family circumstances, request desired leave in advance).
B. Reporting to work at the ATC are deficient in the performance of an assignment, Will be reported to the Office and the employee may be rejected by NYS. If rejected, Must provide a replacement within one (1) workday of the employee's next scheduled shift.
C. Travel expenses will not be reimbursed.
