Join our kitchen team as a Food Prep Worker at The Blue Gate Restaurant. We are a busy restaurant in the heart of Amish country with visitors from all over the country. Food Prep Workers' responsibilities include the following:
- Preparing food.
- Following recipes.
- Make simple dishes.
- Assembling and plating meals.
- Cleaning and sanitizing your work area.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Experience in the food industry is helpful but optional. We cross-train all team members to provide them with the knowledge and skills to work in all areas of our kitchen.
We are hiring full-time Food Prep Workers, working five weekly shifts, and part-time working up to four eight-hour shifts weekly. Both include evenings (closing the kitchen) and Saturdays. Wages start as high as $17.00 per hour based on industry experience and availability.
Food Prep Worker Requirements:
- Safe food handling practices.
- Willingness to work until closing.
- Properly prepare food as trained and instructed.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must lift, hold, and move up to 50 pounds consistently.
- Ability to stand on your feet and move the entire shift.
- Must be teachable with a desire to learn and grow.
