Title: Food and Nutrition Supervisor II - Central Kitchen & Warehouse Operations

Job Purpose: Responsible for overseeing food safety, quality, production, distribution and general operations of both Central Kitchen & Warehouse for the food and nutrition department.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Business or Experience in Operations required. Other related experience considered
- Must have excellent written, verbal and people skills
- Knowledge of all phases of food preparation, sanitation and service.
- Must be certified with a ServeSafe certification with Maricopa County Department of Environmental Health.
- Ability to effectively supervise teams/staff members.
- Ability to work well with administrators, teachers, parents and students, kitchen
- managers, production teams, and delivery teams.
- Experience in volume food service, volume food handling, and operations including some supervisory experience.
- Ability to stand and move about easily.
- Proficient in standard office software programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, Explorer and familiarity with using web based programs.
- Valid Arizona Drivers License with transportation to travel between sites.
- Ability to drive, and transport food safely in vehicles operating at Central Kitchen.
- Satisfactory criminal background check.

- Manual dexterity to operate warehouse equipment such as forklift, pallet jacks and other business related equipment.

Essential Job Responsibilities:
Contributes toward a positive, professional working and learning environment by:
- Coordinates proper shipping and handling of all product from the Central Kitchen and Warehouse to all sites.
- Planning and presenting training classes for food service staff on various topics such as inventory, order writing, and proper product handling.
- Completing Product Evaluations with Vendor & Product Controller, and meeting with vendors on new products and offers.
- Works with Menu Planner, Vendor & Product Controller regarding planning menus for students and adapting menus based on product availability.
- Supervising and assisting Site Managers, Central Kitchen Staff and Central Kitchen Warehouse staff.
- Assists Vendor & Product Controller by monitoring all inventory in the Central Kitchen, Warehouse and School Kitchens.
- Assists with menu reviews to ensure product availability for upcoming and future menu dates, and working to meet the K-12 regulations.
- Assisting in monitoring compliance with NSLP and NSLB regulations.
- Assisting with catering planning, and working with catering manager to help grow the department.
- Assisting in plan reviews for new and renovated kitchens.
- Two to five years experience in inventory reporting and processes for large volume operations
- Knowledge of HACCP and work place safety requirements
- Knowledge and ability to analyze data to efficiently project and order as needed for the department
- Must display ability to work with figures and to make arithmetic calculations accurately
- Performing other duties as assigned.
- Performing all duties in a safe and prudent manner as directed.

- Performing a wide variety of clerical work including: typing, filing, coding, record keeping and preparing reports and written communication.
- Coordinating distribution of curriculum and assessment material.
- Maintaining and distributing user documentation files.
- Providing customer service and technical support to staff by telephone or in person.
- Performing necessary data entry task to maintain the assessment software data.
- Scheduling and assisting with the training of staff on new software programs, or procedures for district.
- Being flexible and performing other duties relating to general job functions as assigned by supervisor.
