The Pack Operator assists in the necessary day to day needs. This member is required to have the ability to follow written procedures & take direction from Pack Lead & Supervisors. Possess the necessary skills to operate & maintain equipment to its optimal performance ensuring necessary throughput per production scheduling needs. Must have the ability to work in a noisy environment throughout the shift. Must be instrumental in protecting the product, being a team player, working well with others and assisting in administering any necessary training to team members. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Perform packaging duties per CCP requirements (Primary)
· Stage materials per recipe requirements
· Perform equipment set up & teardown
· Inspect equipment & tools regularly to ensure in good working condition
· Operate & maintain equipment to optimal production performance
· Adhere to all documentation requirements
· Ensure processing, packaging, sealing, labeling, & palletizing are performed per specifications
· Ensure documentation accuracies
· Ensure finished goods are completed per specifications & moved to designated location
· Perform proper & timely changeovers
· Keep work areas clean & tidy
· Perform other duties as assigned
Working Conditions/Environmental/Physical Demands:Ability to work in a production environment that can be slippery and wet with temperature varying from cold to hot. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Overtime hours may be required during periods of high workload.
