Travis Pointe Country Club, located in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and managed by Bobby Jones Links, is hiring for a Food and Beverage Coordinator. Built in 1977, Travis Pointe is one of the state’s elite private clubs, featuring four season amenities, including indoor and outdoor pools, 4 indoor courts and outdoor large tennis  complex, aquatics facility, indoor golf simulators, and a fitness center.

Travis Pointe has hosted the LPGA Volvik Championship, as well as numerous tournaments throughout  the years, including the EPSON Tour, the Michigan Amateur Championship, the Women’s Western Amateur, the Women’s Michigan Open, US Mid-Amateur qualifying, and numerous US Open and US Senior Open qualifiers.

The Food and Beverage Coordinator assists with managing all things related to F&B outlets and events. The Food and Beverage Coordinator (FBC) reports to the Food & Beverage Director (FBD) and assists with managing all aspects of the Travis Pointe Country Club’sFood and Beverage operation. The FBC directly supervises all managerial position(s) of the F&B Department including cafe, restaurant and banquets. This is a temporary assignment that begins approximately at the end of February 2024 and ends in June 2024. However, this could lead to other opportunities within the club.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Representing FBD in their absence.
  • Working closely with the Executive Chef and Food & Beverage Director to define and perpetuate the member and guest Food and Beverage experience.  
  • Assisting the FBD in the preparation of the business plan. 
  • Assisting with hiring and onboarding of new and returning hires.
  • Coordinating with FBD and Chef to assist with planning of  itinerary/dates for all team meetings.
  • Maintaining Travis Pointe Country Club 's Wine Club program.
  • Developing Food & Beverage sales and promotions as the business dictates.
  • Completing an accurate inventory.
  • Executing bartending duties and prepares service bar drinks as needed.
Qualifications

TheFood and Beverage Coordinatorof a Bobby Jones Links club must have the following skills:

  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and club point of sales systems.
  • Understanding of Club financials.
  • Significant experience in the Food and Beverage industry.
  • Understands the financial connection between customer service, food quality, portion control, cost of sales, and payroll dollars, as they relate to the net income of the restaurant. 
  • Strong beverage and wine background.
  • Bachelors degree in Hospitality preferred

  • Lift up to 25 lbs. regularly; up to 50 lbs. occasionally and to lift overhead and push/pull, move lighter objects.

  • Be exposed to outside weather conditions including temperatures over 90 and below 40 degrees.
  • Indoor conditions that may be very hot or cold.
  • Work near: moving mechanical parts, fumes, toxic or caustic chemicals.
  • Noise level in the work environment is frequently loud.
