General Responsibility: To oversee the production operations of the facility, ensuring quality, safety and required output are met.
Essential Functions:
Responsibilities of the Floor Supervisor will include, but are not limited to, the following:
· Assessing project and resource requirements
· Estimating timescales with managers
· Overseeing production processes
· Strive to reduce expenses and increase productivity across all product lines
· Ensure all employees follow industry standard health and safety guidelines
· Communicate production goals to hourly personnel
· Provide motivation, support and guidance to all employees
· Communicate any problems or obstacles to Production Supervisor
· Work with Production Supervisor on appropriate staffing levels
· Coordinate appropriate downtime to effectively perform preventative maintenance on all equipment
· Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement which proactively recognizes and addresses deficiencies
· Acts as liaison between all levels to inform personnel of communications, decisions, policies and all matters that affect their performance, attitudes and results
- Control and minimize labor overtime and repair expenses
- Incorporate shop floor organization and plant cleanliness among plant personnel
Quality Control
- Establish and monitor overall team performance for production and quality standards
- Ensuring that manufacturing processes comply with company standards and/or specifications
- Directing objectives to maximize profitability
- Monitor own performance - self-audit for accuracy and produce high level output
- Monitor scrap rates to determine trends and areas of improvement
Safety
- Personally accountable for preventing injury and illness to self and for protecting Company assets
- Acceptance of this full safety responsibility, personal alertness and following plant safety rules is mandatory
- Assist with OSHA requirements, compliance, trainings and/or audits
- Every injury sustained or even suspected while on the job, must be reported immediately to your direct supervisor
- Be familiar with all chemicals used in your assigned area and understand any injury or health problem potential inherent in the use or handling of such chemicals
- Know the location, use and purpose of all safety equipment in your work area
- All emergency equipment, fire doors and emergency exit routes are to be kept unobstructed and in good condition
- Adhere to personal protection guidelines:
- Wearing approved eye protection
- Side shields are required when prescription glasses are necessary
- Wearing protective footwear
- Wearing hand protection shall be used when the nature of work being performed presents a hand injury hazard
- Wearing approved ear protection is to be worn in designated high noise areas
- Maintain a sense of orderliness, keeping materials, supplies and equipment well organized and in good condition
- Ensure work area is clean and free from safety hazards
- All guards must be in place prior to routine operation of any equipment and must be inspected daily
- Park your vehicle in designated areas only

Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.

The employee is required to stand for extended periods of time, up to and exceeding 10 hours.
The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance and stoop, kneel and/or crouch. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move upward of 50 pounds
There is extensive walking involved including walking between two buildings regularly

Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
