Location (s): DFW, TX / Christiansburg, VA (Onsite)
Description/Responsibilities:
● Perform aircraft inspections (including pre-flight and post-flight inspections), daily start of day and end of day activities during GS duty shifts
● Perform routine aircraft standard practices (as defined in FlyingDuck UAS Maintenance Manual) during GS duty shifts
● Perform nest equipment inspections (including pre-flight and post-flight inspections), daily start of day and end of day activities during GS duty shifts
● Replace FlyingDuck provided nest equipment as required during GS duty shifts
● Participate in Crew Briefs
● Maintain communications with the FlyingDuck Pilot-in-Command using FlyingDuck provided equipment during duty shifts
● Visually monitor airspace to detect non-FlyingDuck aircraft during VO duty shifts
● Monitor air-traffic displays provided by FlyingDuck to detect non-FlyingDuck aircraft during VO duty shifts
● Monitor for hazardous weather conditions in the operating area during VO duty shifts
● Detect visible obstacles or other hazards to flight during VO duty shifts
● Verify location and height of detected obstacles as requested during Ground Support duty shifts
● Operate a FlyingDuck provided light vehicle (van) for movement between various FlyingDuck operating locations, move aircraft between sites, and recover FlyingDuck aircraft
● Recover FlyingDuck aircraft that have landed outside the nest area during Ground Support duty shifts
Required:
● Possess a current driver's license
● Possess a valid 14 CFR Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate (Does not need to be current, but must not have been suspended or revoked)
● Successfully complete required FlyingDuck provided training for Ground Support and Visual Observer roles for Flying Duck’s Part 135 Operations
● Participate in periodic FlyingDuck provided training to maintain relevant skills and knowledge
● Participate in Vendor's FAA drug and alcohol screening program
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
