About the Role
What You Will Do
Perform basic repairs, preventative maintenance, and upgrades on gasoline and diesel vehicles and equipment.
Efficiently and accurately diagnose and provide recommendations on repairs.
Maintain accurate vehicle records.
Maintain shop equipment.
Check parts stock, place relevant orders, and verify orders for accuracy upon receipt.
Participate in industry related training opportunities and reading technical publications.
Take ownership of the quality of work performed and the cleanliness of the workshop.
Communicate within the team and field operations.
Willingness to work from other locations and in the field where needed.
Be a team player and contribute to the overall success of the organizations growing and diverse team.
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Mechanical and electrical systems knowledge.
Ability to operate vehicles, equipment, diagnostic tools, and repair equipment.
Ability to work independently as well as efficiently within a team.
Must have your own tools (Tendit will supply specialized tools, as needed)
Paving equipment, street sweeping equipment, and/or striping equipment is a plus.
High school diploma or GED
A current and valid driver's license
Ability to lift, up to 75 pounds.
Attention to detail.
Good interpersonal skills.
Excellent verbal communication skills.
Good organizational skills.
Bilingual is a plus.
