Job Overview: D&D Garage Doors, a leading residential and commercial garage door company in Florida, is seeking a dedicated Fleet Manager to expertly manage and coordinate our fleet of passenger trucks and vans. This pivotal role involves ensuring the seamless operation of our vehicle fleet, contributing to the efficiency of our garage door service and installations.
Salary: $60K - $70K
Essential Job Duties:
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the fleet metric/tracking systems, cameras, geo tab, and technology-based maintenance.
- Oversee the scheduling of maintenance, repairs, and inspections for our fleet of passenger trucks and vans.
- Coordinate vehicle assignments and scheduling to support our garage door technicians efficiently.
- Update and manage the fleet scheduling system, ensuring precise allocation of vehicles for timely service calls and installations.
- Implement strategies to enhance the efficiency of our fleet by utilizing technology-based solutions.
- Collaborate closely with garage door technicians and maintenance teams to promptly address any vehicle-related issues.
- Assemble and review daily vehicle assignments, making adjustments as needed to optimize our operations.
- Manage fuel consumption and maintain accurate records for reporting purposes.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies related to fleet operations.
- Conduct regular inspections of vehicles, utilizing technology for effective maintenance needs identification.
- Collaborate with vendors for vehicle purchases, repairs, and maintenance services.
Required Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of passenger trucks and vans.
- Strong organizational and scheduling skills.
- Proficiency in utilizing and learning fleet metric/tracking systems, cameras, geo tab, and technology-based maintenance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Problem-solving abilities to address unexpected issues with vehicles.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance in fleet operations.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid state driver's license.
- Proven experience in fleet management or a related field.
- Ability to lift and move objects up to 20 lbs.
- Comfortable sitting for prolonged periods and using computers.
- Must be insurable.
