Heidelberg Materials is seeking an initiative-taking and energetic Fleet Maintenance Supervisorto join our team, the position will be located at our Vancouver, Washington, office with travel to sites as required. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this position is responsible for overseeing the on-road Fleet Maintenance department. The role will be expected to guide the preventative maintenance program, schedule, and supervise staff along with daily operational coordination of equipment utilization.

What You'll Get to Do:
- Ensure the safe and reliable operation of our Ready-Mix Concrete, Aggregate and Mobile On-Road Equipment fleet.
- Direct and supervise non-union mechanics & mechanic foreman. Oversee in the hiring/ discipline /training /succession planning and ensure safety and environmental compliance of the work force meets company standards.
- Manage purchasing controls for repairs and maintenance costs to stay within budget.
- Ensure compliance requirements are met through organizational and procedural measures, including implementation of team guidelines and completion of required training.
- Report of fleet condition and participate in fleet utilization decisions.
- Ensure shops are stocked with consumables and safety supplies.
- Respond and direct emergency maintenance activities as required.
- Performs additional duties and special projects as assigned.
Experience and Skills:
- High School Diploma or GED Certificate is required.
- Post-secondary education desirable.
- 5+ years in Read-Mix Concrete, Aggregate, truck mechanic experience and/or mechanic shop management.
- 3+ years' experience in supervision preferred.
- 3+ years' experience in an industrial or fleet setting.
- Good collaborative and communication skills to communicate to both mechanics and fellow management staff.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, and Teams)
- Digital ability and awareness are an asset.
- $63,600.00 - $95,400.00 / year

- Must be able to lift up to twenty-five pounds at times.
- Role operations primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.
- Strong safety culture.
- 25% local travel primarily within a 50 miles radius of Vancouver, WA.
