We are a fast-growing Mobile Grooming Company in Central Florida, and we are looking for our Fleet Technician to coordinate regular basic maintenance on vans and support our team when needed out in the field with van issues.
The Service Technician is critical to keeping our fleet on the road and you will work closely with the owner. Our fleet consists of 14 fully customized Mercedes Sprinter High Roof 2500 Diesel vans, years 2008-2023, spread over Lakes, Seminole, Volusia, Flagler counties.
Core Responsibilities Fleet Technician:
Performing regular maintenance on grooming equipment and vans, addressing cosmetics and cleanliness
Performing basic repairs and routine upkeep on grooming equipment (electricity, plumbing, water pumps, filters, grooming tools…)
Performing regular cleaning (salon area, cabin, electronics area)
Performing groomer’s assistance and respond to emergency van issues, coordinate/perform repairs (by phone and/or on site)
Opening tickets with Franchise's Support, coordinate/perform repairs, make documentation.
Restocking supplies regularly in all vans
Ensure transfers of vans to the dealership in Daytona Beach (service, breakdowns), make the vans available to the groomers, at any time.
Assist new groomers for the first days of employment
If you are not on the road, work from home on computer to help the dispatchers
The scope of this role may grow over time with more responsibilities or a position of Assistant Manager.
Most of the work must be done when the vans are not in operation (after hours, weekends, or van day off). Your flexibility is crucial for this role.
Job Type: Full time, 8am-4pm Monday to Friday, flexible schedule, expect after hours and weekend work according to events Salary: $18 per hour Benefits: paid time off 2 weeks per year, company car, gas, computer and phone provided. Training-Tools – if you don’t know how to repair the grooming equipment or even water pumps, we will teach you – Tools and equipment provided. Ideal Candidate may have skills or experience in any of the following fields:
Good handyman, good cleaner, RV technician, AC/DC electrical repairs, Diagnosing issues, Plumbing repairs, good on computer But also ; Must be organized, able to take initiatives and find solutions, know priorities, able to work in an emergency, high availability, positive and “can do” attitude, and very flexible on schedule depending on vans issues.
