Job Summary:
The Fleet Coordinator is responsible for the oversight and coordination of the Company's fleet of cars, trucks, and specialized vehicles.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serve as a key contact in the purchasing and selling of company vehicles.
- Prepare new vehicles for use including logo wrapping, roof-rack installation, etc.
- Work with Safety and HR departments on accident investigation including filing claims with insurance and following up on repairs and insurance payments.
- Collaborate with supervisors and staff to manage and reduce expenses such as those for fuel and labor costs.
- Establish a schedule for recommended replacement of fleet vehicles.
- Draft and present reports on department operations and expenses.
- Register and insure all new vehicles.
- Maintain detailed records of servicing and inspection. Send reminders to drivers when inspections or service appointments are due.
- Comply and enforce the Company's Fleet Safety Policy.
- Monitor GPS system for speeding alerts.
- Establish and maintain relationships with preferred vendors.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge and understanding of fleet management and operations.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize under pressure.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Three to five years of experience in fleet management, maintenance or repair.
- Valid driver's license.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds at a time
- Must be able to access and drive various types of trucks.
