Position Details
The Fleet and Facility Maintenance Technician at Tilson holds a pivotal role at the intersection of our business's efficient fleet operation and the maintenance of our facilities. Operating as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) under the guidance of Market Operations leadership, this position provides vital support to various business departments. A CDL license for equipment transport and delivery is a requirement for this role. The ideal candidate will not only possess mechanical skills but also, preferably, have knowledge of HDD drilling and OSP operations equipment.
Responsibilities:
In this multifaceted position, your overarching responsibility is to ensure the seamless operation of our business fleet while simultaneously maintaining our facilities. Your key responsibilities encompass:
Fleet Tasks:
- On-site pickup and delivery of equipment to servicing dealerships as scheduled by Tilson's Project Fleet Coordinator.
- In-market pickup of parts from local suppliers.
- Collecting and inputting weekly drilling activity hours to support fleet tracking efforts.
- Owning any TSS fleet items at the operations level as the action owner.
- Coordinating with relevant parties to resolve and close out fleet action items.
- Receiving and inspecting all new fleet equipment from delivery personnel.
- Updating Tilson's Project Fleet Coordinator and/or Fleet teams with operations fleet vehicle assignments.
- Maintaining an accurate count and location of all keys, including assignments, replacements, etc.
- Vehicle AED maintenance.
- Performing minor equipment repairs as required, including broken gaskets, O-rings, pumps, hoses, and belts.
- Performing in-yard vehicle and equipment inspections.
- Maintaining the supply closet for both vehicle and equipment maintenance parts.
Facility Tasks:
- Yard maintenance and cleanliness.
- Inspecting and reporting hazards requiring attention.
- Inspecting, maintaining, and resupplying building first aid units.
- Ensuring bathrooms and common areas are kept clean.
- Scheduling cleaning services as needed.
- Updating and maintaining MSDS binders.
- Updating and maintaining emergency plan binders.
- Ensuring proper use of trash and recycle bins as appropriate.
- Handling on-site service calls as an in-market contact.
- Building AED maintenance and services.
- Performing fire extinguisher maintenance inspections.
Qualifications:
- CDL license for equipment transport and delivery (required).
- Mechanical skills and aptitude.
- Knowledge of HDD drilling and OSP operations equipment (preferred).
- Proactive and self-motivated.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
