Job Description
Mobile Staff Solutions is hiring for our client in the Mulberry area for a Temp to Perm position. The shift starts at 6AM Monday to Friday. We are searching for a skilled Structural Fitter who will be responsible for reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, and specifications to determine welding requirements, particularly in the context of structural steel. This role involves cutting, fitting, and welding metal components for machinery, equipment, or structures with a focus on structural steel applications, ensuring quality and adherence to safety standards.
MUST Haves/ Skills & Qualifications:
- Must have proven experience as a welder, with specific skills in welding structural steel.
- Must be able to read and interpret technical documents and drawings related to structural steel.
- Must have a strong attention to detail and precision in working with structural steel.
- Good physical condition and stamina.
- Certifications in welding (e.g., AWS Certified Welder) are highly desirable.
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training in welding preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpretation of Blueprints: Accurately read and understand blueprints, technical drawings, and welding specifications, with a strong emphasis on structural steel designs.
- Cutting and Fitting: Cut and fit metal pieces, particularly structural steel, using hand and power tools. Ensure precise alignment and dimensions according to specifications.
- Welding: Perform various types of welding processes (MIG, TIG, FCAW, etc.) on structural steel and other materials, depending on project requirements.
- Quality Control: Inspect completed welds on structural steel to ensure they are free of defects, conform to specifications, and meet quality standards.
- Maintenance and Safety: Maintain welding equipment in good working order. Strictly adhere to all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Collaboration and Communication: Work collaboratively with other team members, including engineers and project managers, on structural steel projects. Communicate effectively to report progress or any issues.
Work Environment:
- The role requires working in industrial settings, often on structural steel projects, which may include exposure to loud noise, heat, and fumes.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.
Delivering better candidates by customizing the screening and assessment process for each and every customer.
Quickly building a diverse candidate pipeline to reduce hiring time and cost.
Offering flexible workforce options such as: temp, temp-to-hire, and direct hires.
