Job description

Incumbent is part of the Law Enforcement Division executive team and performs management duties under the direction of the Deputy Chief of the Law Enforcement Division.
The duties of this position include executive oversight of the Technology and Education components of the Law Enforcement Division (LED). Duties include overseeing the Hunter Education and Public Information Officer programs for LED. Technology duties include managing LED’s Record Management System, Interstate Wildlife Violators Compact revocation process, Electronic Daily Activity Reports, statistical analysis reporting, California Turn in Poachers, and Tip411 programs. Oversee the procurement process of LED’s specialized technology equipment. Represent LED as the liaison to the California Department of General Services Fleet Administration and California Department of Parks and Recreation, Law Enforcement Dispatch Center. Briefs the Deputy Chief and Chief of the Law Enforcement Division on important law enforcement issues and problems. Regularly attends meetings and represents the Law Enforcement Division on various Department committees.
Open to all candidates within the Law Enforcement Division eligible for appointment to the classification.
This is a statewide recruitment that is eligible to be filled within any California County.
