SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE
We are seeking a dynamic Fiscal and Program Specialist to join our Organizational Effectiveness and Research team. The role involves complex financial analysis, regulatory work, internal audits, and collaboration on compliance reviews for federal, state, and local grants. In addition to these responsibilities, the candidate will play a crucial role in program evaluation, program data analysis, and providing program technical assistance. Experience with advanced Excel and data analysis. Policy interpretation is crucial, and familiarity with platforms like Monday.com and Salesforce is preferred.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct comprehensive audits to verify both financial and Program data, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and effectiveness.
- Create reports for forecasting purposes, utilizing budgetary information and Program data.
- Ensure compliance with procedures, requirements, laws, and regulations.
- Facilitate and oversight external monitoring reviews.
- Collaborate with service delivery teams to ensure effective program cost and return on investment.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data by performing regular audits and reconciliations.
- Conduct program evaluations to thoroughly assess the effectiveness and impact of the programs.
- Conduct program data analysis to assess the effectiveness of service delivery.
- Provide guidance and technical assistance to others, research financial and regulatory compliance.
- Other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, finance, economics, or a related field preferred. Experience in financial analysis and regulatory work. Experience with advanced Excel and data analysis. Experience with Salesforce is a plus. Experience and education may be substituted for one another.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
Knowledge of financial analyses, examination procedures for regulated entities, program evaluation, and Program data analysis. Familiarity with financial and industry terminology and practices, as well as statistical analysis. Proficient in the use of a computer and relevant software, with expertise in data modeling. Ability to perform and interpret numerical analyses, assess program effectiveness through evaluations, interpret statutes, analyze, and summarize financial and management records for accuracy and adherence to procedures, rules, and regulations. Capable of preparing comprehensive reports and correspondence regarding findings, effective communication, and providing guidance to others in both financial and Programmatic contexts.
