POSITION SUMMARY:

The Fiscal Accounting Assistant is responsible for maintaining the accounts payable system, computer system, and compiling payroll data to maintain payroll records by performing the following duties.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: An Associate's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required. Computer knowledge includes spreadsheets, word processing, and payroll systems.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret invoices, accounts payable documents and payroll records. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, staff and regulatory agencies or members of the community. Ability to communicate on an effective level with physicians, and staff from a variety of disciplines.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out details by uninvolved written or oral instruction. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurements, volume, and distance.

Pay: $16.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
