Fire Sprinkler Service Technicians perform service, repairs, and inspections associated with Fire Sprinkler systems and other water-based equipment in accordance with all national and local standards. In addition to your primary responsibilities, you will also act as a mentor, providing on-the-job training to entry level fire alarm inspectors, fostering a culture of growth and knowledge-sharing within our team. As a Fire Sprinkler Service Technician, you will: Inspect, test, maintain, and repair wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge Fire Sprinkler systems, standpipes, backflow preventers, fire hydrants, and fire pumps Perform Fire Sprinkler, fire pump and other water-based equipment inspections and testing Properly document deficiencies/impairments noted during inspections or service work and follow required process of reporting deficiencies while on-site Adhere to local, corporate, and OSHA safety policies and procedures Maintain complete and accurate documentation of all work performed Maintain vehicle stock, tools, and equipment. Follow corporate policies related to vehicle use and care Mentor lower level Fire Sprinkler Service Technicians You will make an impact with these qualifications: Basic Qualifications: State of Texas RME-I License (Responsible Managing Employee - General Inspector License) NICET II - Sprinkler inspection & testing of water-based systems 2+ years' experience performing Inspections, Testing, and Maintenance (ITM) of Fire Sprinkler and/or Fire Life Safety Systems Be able to work in a variety of environments in and around mechanical equipment, including climbing ladders, scaffolds, and high-lift equipment, working in ducts, above ceilings, and in outside/inside/heat/cold/day/night conditions; use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet; carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship Must be 18 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations Preferred Qualifications: High school diploma or state-recognized GED, Associate's, or Bachelor's Degree You'll benefit from: Siemens offers a variety of health and wellness benefits to our employees.
